Four Steps to Awesome Audio

Microphones

II use different ones to suit different projects. My go to is the industry standard Nuemann TLM103. For American radio links I use the radio legend  Electrovoice RE20 dynamic microphone and if I want to pretend its 1999 I'm back on the Hot 30 Countdown I have a Sennheiser MKH416  as used at Broadland102/SGRFM

Special Sauce

Most audio is delivered clean and dry for post production but for complete productions I have a whole host of audio plug ins and production software to give the vocal whatever kind of sheen, power or sound you need. I use Izotope and Waves plug ins exclusively and  Avalon voice processing to cut through

Processing Power

All audio runs through a Mac Pro "Trash Can" workstation with a UA Apollo interface. Used by the best to give world class clean audio 

There is a DBX 286s on hand as well if you want that  super compressed ILR sound as heard on hundreds of Radio Stations
